Freelance Math Content Writer
Thanks to our broad network of teachers and education professionals, we have developed a reputation for outstanding online tutorials, video lectures, and interactive learning exercises, across a variety of school subjects in Germany. As a next step, we are reaching out to make sofatutor.com an equally successful go-to platform for K-12 students in the US.
As content writer (m/f), you will play an essential role in the creation of engaging Math tutorials produced with state-of-the-art digital technology. Each video is accompanied by a set of practice problems and we are looking for content creators in both areas. The ideal candidate is able to work remotely on a regular basis, has both teaching and online test writing experience, and has strong writing skills.
You will be responsible for researching assigned math topics, developing storyboards with voiceover, and/or writing practice problem sets to accompany our digital videos. You will need to be able to write engaging, creative content which leads students to the unique learning outcome focused-on in each video. Working both independently and collaboratively, you will develop exciting educational material while engaging in an open, ongoing dialogue with our in-house editorial team. These responsibilities will be completed via our user-friendly online interface, Google Docs, email, and video conference.

Very good writing skills in English (native speaker). Experience in test writing or creative writing is a plus.

A good understanding of learning needs/preferences of math students.
In addition to these qualifications, you need the following:

This is a part-time freelance contract with no need for relocation. When you join our team, your work will begin with a brief training course. You will learn about our production process and how to develop a storyboard with voiceover, and/or get an introduction to our practice problems from our team of experts. You will also be able to share your ideas and collaborate with our international network of math teachers.
Your working hours will be flexible, dependending on the pace of our production process. Most of the work will be asynchronous, but some scheduled online meetings will be required at specific times. Individual contract and compensation based on experience.
